Penrith Cricket Club

April 3rd, 2018

Cumbria Waste Group was pleased to be able to support Penrith Cricket Club as it prepares for the new season.

We donated a free skip as part of  NatWest’s CricketForce initiative. This is a national initiative which sees local cricket clubs receiving funding towards helping to prepare their grounds and facilities for the new season.

The programme is designed to bring clubs and local communities closer together, and ensure grounds and facilities are ready for the new season.

NatWest CricketForce 2018 took place on 23rd to 25th March and like many clubs across the country, volunteers turned out in their numbers in Penrith to carry out a range of jobs including painting, clearing and cleaning the pavilion, repairing nets and sight screens.

We provided a large 35-yard skip, which came in handy for all the waste that needed to be taken away.

We would like to wish Penrith Cricket Club the best of luck for the 2018 season. Hit them for six lads!
