New Flusco MRF extension works now complete

August 9th, 2019

Works to update and extend the MRF at Flusco have now been completed. This provides a new home for our recycling operations in the area. The new MRF also now boasts a greater storage capacity and a larger loading bay, helping increase efficiencies.

Following the fire at our Kingmoor site in 2014, we have occupied Eden Community Recycling (ECR) in Penrith. These facilities have been invaluable in providing additional baling facilities to keep the business running smoothly.

The New MRF extension provides circa 940 square meters of covered floor space. The are will be used for handling, bulking up and compaction of recyclables for onward transit. The layout also allows for the installation of a baler at a later date. State of the art energy efficient LED lighting has also been installed providing daylight conditions inside the new building.

In addition to the newly extended MRF, a new HGV vehicle wash has been constructed to help keep our fleet looking tip-top.

As the extension work on the MRF at Flusco is now complete, it means we are no longer operating from the ECR site.
