HR CO-ORDINATOR

Job Title: Group HR Co-ordinator

Location: Head Office, Carlisle

Salary: £24,000 – £27,000 per annum (DoE)

An exciting opportunity for a HR Co-ordinator has become available at our Head Office in Carlisle. This is a key role which supports the developing HR Business Partner model within the Group.

The HR Co-ordinator will provide direct support to HR Business Partners with HR systems administration primarily supporting the absence and probation review processes, recruitment and onboarding including Right to Work and DBS checks, employee relations casework, and other HR-related initiatives as required. The role is office based however there will also be requirements to travel to other sites as necessary.

Working full-time, 37 hours per week, the successful candidate will join the HR department and benefit from the perfect opportunity to develop their career in a fast-paced and dynamic team at the heart of our business.

What you need:

  • previous experience in an HR support role
  • CIPD level 3 (or equivalent experience)
  • great IT skills and experience of HR systems
  • a full driving licence and your own transport

  • a proactive approach and a desire to be kept busy and productive in a varied and challenging role

PAYROLL MANAGER

Job Title: Payroll Manager

Location: Head Office, Carlisle

Salary: Competitive salary dependent on experience

The newly created full-time, permanent, position presents a fantastic opportunity for a Payroll professional to truly shape the role, implementing new payroll systems and procedures. The Payroll Manager’s goal is to ensure that the payroll for the Group of companies is processed efficiently and accurately. 

The top things about you that are most important: 

  • Detail orientated and highly professional with the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines Adaptable to a fast paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail, along with strong analytical skills using Excel and other Microsoft packages
  • Ability and experience in managing and processing end to end payroll
  • Good commercial acumen and confidence in influencing Senior stakeholders CIPP qualified (desirable).

Duties will include: 

  • Processing payroll for the Group companies on a monthly basis and dealing with any associated queries; 
  • Ensuring month end, payroll journals and year end processes are accurately processed Ensuring all 3rd party remittances, payments and procedures are completed
  • Processing payroll starters, leavers and amendments
  • Ensuring the Group is kept up-to-date with any legislative changes and are implemented effectively
  • Implementing internal controls, to ensure continuous improvements are made
  • Reviewing current procedures and making recommendations to increase effectiveness
  • Acting as a project lead on various tasks (legacy and new)
  • Project work and data analysis and business partnering
  • Engaging and influencing senior stakeholders on various projects/tasks
  • Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
