Organisation

The CWM Group is the largest waste disposal and recycling organisation in the region. It is composed of three companies and is ultimately owned by Cumbria County Council.

Together the CWM Group provides tailored waste management and recycling solutions for households, commercial customers, and Local Authorities. It employs over 200 staff at 20 locations across Cumbria, and has its Head Office at Carlisle.

The CWM Group also supports the activities of the Cumbria Waste Management Environment Trust (CWMET), which provides funding and support to environmental projects throughout the county.
